MEET THE DOCTOR

Dr. Shane Wellington was born and raised in the Wellsville area where he graduated in the top of his class from Southern Local Senior High. He continued on to The University of Akron graduating Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology and a minor in French language. 

In 2002, he received his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from Case Western Reserve University (CWRU). During his tenure at CWRU, he completed the National Board Exam in the top 5% of the nation's dentists and received the Dean's Award for Clinical and Academic Excellence, one of two students to achieve this honor.

Prior to entering private practice, he served a general practice residency at St. Elizabeth Health Center where he received additional training in Oral Surgery, Pedodontics, and Hospital Dentistry. Dr. Wellington has taken post-graduate education courses in a wide range of topics; including Orthodontics, Endodontics and Implantology. Most recently, he has earned Fellowship status in the Academy of General Dentistry, an honor that less than 1% of dentists in the United States and Canada receive.

Dr. Wellington opened his solo practice in East Liverpool in 2004. He now dedicates himself to providing affordable, yet high quality, oral health care for area residents. He has two sons, Griffin and Grey. He enjoys hunting, fishing and spending time with his boys.
